Prescription Masks

If you are fortunate enough to have 20/20 vision, you may be using either contact lenses or glasses during our "land" life.  While diving we need to see a distance in front of us that is comfortable and be able to read gauges and our buddy up close.

Contact lenses are not always feasible while diving.  Lenses can sometimes roll on top of the eye or at certain depths can trap air bubbles underneath and create a vacuum causing the contact lens to stick to the eye (could cause eye damage).

The best solution is to have prescription lenses made to fit your dive mask.  Please allow 2-3 weeks for single vision, 3-4 weeks for bi-focal.  We will need a copy of your current prescription.  Here are the options:

Stock Lenses

Made in certain strengths like reading glasses from the drug store.  Stock lenses are available for certain mask styles only.  Please see Scuba Sciences for available mask selections.

Custom Ground Lenses

Your actual prescription made with an adjustment for being underwater (to make things look more natural).  Can be bonded into any mask with tempered glass

$90 per pair $170 Single Vision
mask is additional $200  Reading Cut
$230 Bi-focal

All prices are plus tax, shipping may be additional.

In order to process a prescription mask, we need:

Current prescription from your eye doctor (within 1 year)

Mask with tempered glass (your own or purchase one from us)

Please give us enough time (2-3 weeks for single vision, 3-4 weeks for bi-focals) to get the prescription lenses

Please call either store for details!
