Bring the fun, excitement and adventure to divers—become an Open Water Instructor!

Do you enjoy sharing experiences with other people? Do you like to help others? Would you like to dive for free? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you may enjoy becoming an Open Water Instructor!

Scuba Sciences has a unique Instructor Training program. We teach our Instructor Candidates to explain all of the aspects of scuba diving in easy to understand terms, work with divers on perfecting scuba skills, take care of open water dives and trip, and so much more!

Instructor Candidates work with our Instructor Certifier during several

Basic Ocean Scuba Courses to learn the material like the back of their hand. Gradually, the Instructor candidates will be able to teach class and pool sessions under supervision to work on their presentations. Eventually, Instructor Candidates will teach the entire course for evaluation, including Open Water!

Our Instructors and Dive Masters meet monthly for meetings to discuss changes in the diving industry, our courses and updates, sign up for FREE scuba trips and more.

Once a certified Open Water Instructor, you can get paid to do the sport you love! Certified Instructors get paid for bringing the fun of scuba diving others! Not only do you get paid, but Scuba Sciences will pay for your diving in return for you working trips. We will pay most, if not all of the expenses for your trips!

Pre-requisites:
18 years of age or older
Dive Control Specialist or equivalent rating
75 or more logged dives
Own Scuba Sciences’ approved personal scuba diving equipment
Current medical exam for diving signed by a physician (on SSI’s form)

Teach Basic Ocean Scuba Courses
Conduct Open Water Certification Dives
Teach Stress/Rescue
Teach specialty courses
Teach snorkeling classes
Teach Scuba Ranger Classes for kids (restricted enrollment)
Teach Scuba Skills Update Courses
Run dive trips to California, Florida, Mexico and other destinations.
Teach Lake Snorkeling Activities
Dive for free!
