Analog Consoles

Just as cars or airplanes need fuel gauges, divers need Air Monitors to give constant readouts of how much air is in their diving cylinders.  The Air Monitor is pressure sensitive and calibrated in pounds per square inch gauge (psig).  The Air Monitor is essential for every scuba diver.  Dive Planning revolves around the information provided from the Air Monitor.  Once you know how long you've stayed at a particular depth and how much air you've consumed, you can calculate your air consumption for the next dives.

Your Analog Console should have:

Scales marked every 100 psig or 250 psig

Numbers every 500 psig for accurate and easy reading

Most have red numerals in the 0 - 500 psig range to warn divers when air is getting very low

Luminous faces for easy reading during low light dives

Maximum depth indicator to register the deepest depth obtained during a dive

A retainer section to attach to fixed cords or retractors
