Scuba Sciences' teaches through Scuba Schools International (SSI), the world's largest recreational scuba training agency, and American Nitrox Divers International (ANDI) the most complete SafeAir Nitrox training courses in the world. We want to be sure you are informed of what every diver should know!
Anyone who is comfortable in the water and medically fit can scuba dive! Any items marked "yes" must have your Doctor sign off the medical form before class begins. The first step in becoming a scuba diver is to enroll in a Basic Ocean Diving Course. Scuba Sciences' teaches the longest, most complete, and safest Basic Ocean Diver Courses in the State of Arizona! Our Scuba Courses are unique as we teach divers to be comfortable, prepared, and confident to Scuba Dive in Ocean conditions, not lakes. We have been teaching Safe Ocean Scuba Courses Since 1970!

2. Open Water Certification Trip
If you are not able to make a Scuba Sciences' Ocean Certification Trips, you can make arrangements for a referral certification. Referral certifications are when you complete your ocean certification course, pool training, and lake snorkel here with Scuba Sciences, then complete your Ocean Dives at a resort destination such as Florida, Hawaii, Cozumel, etc. There is a $110 referral fee (plus tax) which includes paperwork, certification card, additional pool classes, and assistance in arranging your referral. Take a look at the preferred Referral Partners.
The
Ocean Scuba Course must be completed fully prior to issuing a referral
(all 10 classroom sessions, 6 pool sessions, lake snorkeling activity, homework,
test and 1 additional pool session). Referrals are valid for 30 days
only. When you return from your referral certification dives, you bring
your paperwork back to Scuba Sciences, Inc. where your certification card will
be issued. 4. Equipment
As everyone has different sized faces, hands & feet, and people have different preferences, students are required to provide their own Snorkeling Equipment (mask, prescription lenses (if needed), fins, snorkel, boots, gloves, anti-fog solution and equipment bag). We offer a minimum of 10-20% discount to our students when their purchase their snorkeling or scuba equipment. This discount is valid while you are enrolled in any of our scuba courses. Talk with us about different options for equipment!
Divers need to make sure the equipment they are considering will work for the type of scuba diving they will complete. We are highly trained in helping our customers select equipment that will meet your preferences, diving needs and budget! In fact, most equipment is available for a "test dive" before you purchase! This will allow you to try different types of equipment before deciding!
